Fernando Torres decides to return from retirement via "Instagram"

Former Spanish star Fernando Torres sparked a great controversy after he hinted that he might be about to backtrack on his decision to retire from football, as the former Liverpool and Chelsea striker suspended his shoes in August 2019 after ending his career in Japan with Sagan Tussauds.

In recent months, the Spaniard has turned to boxing and shocked the crowd with a major muscular shift in his body, however, he revealed in his latest posts on "Instagram" that he may be about to return from retirement and continue his football career.

The former attacker posted a picture and wrote: "I understand life in only one way: play, so, I decided to come back."

Torres was scheduled to play in a Liverpool Legends charity match against Barcelona in March 2020, but the match has been postponed due to the coronavirus pandemic.

It remains to be seen if he is the 37-year-old, but the World Cup winner will reveal all about his hidden post on Friday.

Torres scored 81 goals in 142 appearances for Liverpool before completing a controversial £ 50m transfer to Chelsea in January 2011.
