A civilian was killed by unknown gunmen in the capital, Baghdad

An Iraqi security source said yesterday, Friday, that unidentified gunmen killed a civilian east of the capital, Baghdad.

The source said that "unidentified gunmen opened fire at a civilian in the Kamaliya area, east of the capital, Baghdad," and that "the incident resulted in his death on the spot, while the gunmen fled."

It is noteworthy that the Security Media Cell in Iraq had announced last Wednesday the arrest of 14 members of the terrorist organization "ISIS" in the provinces of Nineveh and Kirkuk in the north of the country.

Iraq witnesses terrorist attacks from time to time from the remnants of ISIS in different regions of the country, especially in Kirkuk and Nineveh, which were an important center for the organization before it was expelled from them by the Iraqi army, counter-terrorism forces and the international coalition led by the United States.
