Blinken: The Lebanese are suffering from the corruption of politicians, and we want to help end the crisis


Anthony Blinken, the US Secretary of State, said in a press conference with his French counterpart, that France is a historical ally and we will re-partnership with it. More pressure must be exerted on Lebanese officials. We are working with France to strengthen the coalition against ISIS. I discussed with Le Drian the crisis in Lebanon and security in Libya


Blinken added: "The Lebanese are suffering from the corruption of politicians, and we want to help end the crisis," noting that France is a historical ally of the United States and will restore partnership with it.


The French Foreign Minister said that the past years witnessed a change in US policy, and that France would cooperate with America to be stronger against terrorism.


We are working to take decisive decisions on Iran, and we are waiting for Iran to make decisions regarding the Vienna negotiations. We will cooperate with America regarding the Lebanese crisis. We know the culprits of the crisis, and Lebanon's politicians must be pressured to end the suffering of the Lebanese.
