Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov said that the Russian ambassador in Washington, Anatoly Antonov, is likely to return to his workplace in the next few days, Russia Today reported.

And the Kremlin representative added, in response to a question about Antonov's return to Washington: "So far he has not returned. But most likely he will fly within days to his workplace."

Antonov and the head of the US diplomatic mission in Moscow, John Sullivan, had returned to their countries earlier for consultations. During the summit in Geneva yesterday between Russian President Vladimir Putin and American Joe Biden, it was agreed that the two ambassadors would return to their workplace.
