Mourinho is looking for a striker for Roma in the summer Mercato

Jose Mourinho, coach of the Roma team, is looking for a new striker during the current summer transfers, because he is not convinced of the capabilities of striker Edin Dzeko during the last period.

Dzeko is under contract with the Italian giants until June 2022, and during Sunday's friendly match against Ternana, the former Manchester City star carried the captain's armband.

Former Roma coach Paulo Fonseca dismissed Dzeko and removed the veteran striker's captaincy last January.

Roma also have Borja Mayoral, who will remain at the club on loan until the end of the season, and the Giallorossi have the option to make his move permanent for €20m at the end of the season.

And according to the Italian network, "Sky Sport", Jose Mourinho wants a third striker to join the team at the end of the summer transfer period.

And Sky Sports added that it does not appear that signing a new striker is a priority for the Gilorossi, who is now in talks to sign Palmeiras player Matthias Viña as a temporary replacement for Leonardo Spinazzola.

It is the second Roma experience for Jose Mourinho in Italy after he had a wonderful experience with the Inter Milan team, where he led him to the best season in its history, crowning the historic treble, the Italian League, the Cup and the European Champions League in 2010.
