Fruit is a rich source of vitamins, fiber and antioxidants, as it contains natural sugar that is not harmful to the body, which is important for diabetics who must calculate the sugars eaten to maintain insulin levels within your body.

According to a report published in Express, select a list of fruits that contain the maximum amount of sugar and therefore should be eaten in moderation by diabetics, including:


1. mango

Mango contains 45 grams of sugar per medium-sized fruit, so you should eat it with caution for fear of a spike in blood sugar.

2. grapes

A cup of grapes contains about 23 grams of sugar, so try to avoid overdoing it.


One cup of cherries contains about 18 grams of sugar, and you can't easily tell how much you've eaten, so be careful when eating it.

4. pear

A medium-sized pear contains about 17 grams of sugar, but you can eat it with caution

5. watermelon

 Watermelon is full of water and contains special minerals called electrolytes which are exactly what your body needs to recharge you, but you can eat two slices a day.

5. Bananas

Bananas are a source of energy, as one medium-sized banana contains 14 grams of sugar, and you can eat it in the morning.

The report also identified low-glycemic fruits that diabetics can safely eat, such as:

1. Avocado

A whole avocado contains only 1.33 grams of sugar, and you can eat it safely.

2. Guava

One medium guava contains 5 grams of sugar and 3 grams of fiber, in addition to its health benefits.

3. Cantaloupe

One piece of cantaloupe contains only 5 grams of sugar and only 23 calories, so you can eat it safely.

4. Papaya

One piece of papaya contains about 6 grams of sugar, so it is safe for diabetics.
