Spain vs. Brazil.. What did the duo do in the Olympics before the gold medal?


The Spanish Olympic team will meet with its Brazilian counterpart, in the final match of the football competitions in the current edition of the Olympic Games "Tokyo 2020", where the expected confrontation will be held at 1:30 p.m. next Saturday, August 7, Cairo time, at the Yokohama International Stadium.


The Spanish and Brazilian teams are competing for the gold medal for the second time in their history, as El Matador and Seleção have previously won first place in the Olympics once.


Brazil qualified for the final of the Olympics for the fifth time in its history, as it succeeded in winning the gold medal once in the previous four times, and that was in the last edition in 2016, while losing the final match 3 times in the 1984, 1988, and 2012 sessions, where it was satisfied with obtaining the silver medal.


Brazil reached the final of the current edition of the Olympics after beating Mexico 4-1 on penalties in the same round, after the end of the original and extra time in a goalless draw.


On the other hand, the Spanish team succeeded in winning the gold medal once in its history, in the 1992 session at the expense of Poland, while losing the final twice in 1920 and 2000.


Spain qualified for the final of the football competitions in the Tokyo Olympics, after defeating Japan with a clean goal, in the match that brought them together on Tuesday, in the semi-finals of the Tokyo Olympics. Marco Asensio scored the killer goal for Spain, in the 115th minute of the second overtime period.
